On July 30, 2024, the SAISA Conference hosted a zoom meeting to provide prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches with more information about the SAISA Conference, as well as each program within the conference. The event, hosted in partnership with Sail1Design and OneUnited Sailing was well-attended with more than 130 participants signing onto the Zoom meeting to hear from the SAISA Commissioner, as well as coaches and student leaders from 24 of SAISA’s 30 active college sailing programs. The presentations featured an overview of college sailing, as well as ICSA recruiting rules and guidelines. Attendees heard directly from college sailing coaches and student leaders showcasing their individual college or university’s sailing team, academic profile for their college, their admissions process, and provided essential information on how interested recruits may engage as they begin their admissions and application process.
